Websites

  • Authentic Happiness – Martin Seligman’s site. A great resource for research on increasing happiness in your life.
  • Lynda.com – Lynda.com is a great resource for getting all of your computer and software skills polished up. I’ve been using Lynda.com for a few weeks now and I am very impressed with my experience there. I highly recommend it.
  • TED: Ideas Worth Spreading – Ted.com: “Riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world.” This is a great place to get some awesome videos and audio programs that you can listen to in your car.
  • TED: Ideas Worth Spreading Android App – I use TED’s android app to listen to TED in my car.

Financial Learning Websites

  • Investopedia – This is one of the first websites that I started using in my financial learning journey. It’s great place to get a lot of the basics.
  • Chicago Board Options Exchange – This is a great website that has all kinds of information. The link I provided goes straight to their learning page. You’ll have to do some poking around in here, because not all of the training is free. However, there are some great free online courses available here. You just have to look for them.
  • Stockcharts.com Chart School – This will take you to the main page of the StockCharts.com educational section. I found it kind of confusing to use, however there is a great deal of info here that covers the basics. If your going to trade options you are going to need to learn how to use stock charts.
  • Stockcharts.com – How to Analyze Charts – I’m providing two links to resources on StockCharts.com because it’s difficult to find things from the main educational page. This link is to a section on learning how to analyze charts and I view as one of the hidden gems of the StockCharts.com learning center. I come back to this section often and it’s a great complimentary resource that you can add to any books you may be reading on options trading.
