Control Your Thoughts For Continous Improvement

In order to always be continuously improving we have to be constantly aware of our thoughts to make sure we are staying focused on the positive. Continuous Improvement in our lives will not occur if we allow ourselves to think negative thoughts.  To succeed in life and move ourselves from where we are now to where we would like to be we need to control our thoughts. If we consistently think negative thoughts we will consistently experience negative results in our lives. Fortunately, the opposite is also true. If we make an effort to continuously focus our thoughts on the positive we’ll find that we see positive results.

One of the first books I read on personal and professional development was Anthony Robbins’ Awaken the Giant Within.
In that book Mr. Robbins points out that if we think brown thoughts we’re going to see brown results, and if we think green thoughts we will experience green results. Anthony Robbins is the leading expert on controlling your “state” so that you can control your motivation and effectiveness in life. If you haven’t experienced any of his books, programs or seminars I highly recommend taking the time to check him out.

This idea of positive thinking is hardly a new one. Norman Vincent Peale wrote a complete book on the subject in his The Power of Positive Thinking
which was first published in 1952. Even earlier, in 1902, Thomas Allen wrote a short essay titled
